Double Episodes, Double Drama, Double Trouble Preview

Just in case you haven't heard, we will be subjected to two episodes next week, which means we will be subjected to double the crap from Thunder Thighs. So, here's a little preview...with some spoilers (yeah here's that warning...don't read if you don't want to know):

Episode 5, Monday February 4, 8 to 10 P.M. (Eastern)

  • Sean brings the 11 remaining women to Whitefish, Montana. There is a 1-on-1 date, one group date of 8 women, and a 2-on-1 date.
  • The 1-on-1 date is with Lindsay Yenter. Sean brings her on a helicopter ride to Glacier National Park, followed by a romantic dinner and a concert by Sarah Darling in downtown Whitefish. She gets a rose.
  • The group date involves another challenge. This one is more like a Survivor challenge - it's a relay race including canoeing, hay(baling perhaps?) sawing, and milking a goat then chugging it back. The eight women form two teams: AshLee, Catherine, Lesley and Daniella are on the "Blue Team" while Sarah, Desiree, Robyn and Selma are on the "Red Team". The teams wear blue or red checkered shirts. How cute. The winning team is supposed to get an after party with Sean while the losers go back to the hotel, but Sean changes the rules. So my guess is that the Red Team wins, but Sean actually wants to spend more time with some of the women on the Blue Team (cough, Catherine, cough) so he lets all the girls stay. Whatever happens, things are going great until the buzzkill Thunder Thighs Tierra crashes the party. Oh yes. And I am sure that ABC will go through with the pretense that she thought of doing this by herself and just happened to find out where they were. Right. Apparently, she's afraid she will be on the dreaded 2-on-1 date the next day, and decides she needs to reinforce her connection with Sean. What a load of crap.
  • The 2-on-1 date sees Sean stuck between Thunder Thighs and Jackie. Yeah, that's right, Tierra is pitted up against one of the two women she is having so much trouble with. Do we still think it's Sean who picks out which women he brings on these dates? Jackie decides to "warn" Sean about Tierra. Oh oh...that's like suicide on this show. Then Thunder Thighs decides to drum up some Seanie sympathy by telling him some terrible occurrence from her past. Whatever it is, its guaranteed to be BS. Can't wait. So...two women enter, one leaves...can you guess who gets the rose?
  • As for the final rose ceremony? One more girl leaves. Here's a hint: the show's usual cast make-up will be back to it's all-white format. That's an unprecedented 5 episode run for this show. It will be very interesting to see how they handle upcoming seasons.

Episode 6, Tuesday, February 5 9 to 11 P.M. (Eastern)

  • Sean and the 9 remaining women go to Lake Louise, Alberta. There are two 1-on-1 dates and one groups date.
  • Sean brings Desiree rapelling down a cliff in one of the 1-on-1's. If a rose is handed out, she will get one.
  • In the second 1-on-1, Sean brings Catherine, in her first solo date, on a monster snow truck ride on a glacier. Then it's off to a dinner in an ice castle. Like Desiree, if a rose is on the table, Catherine will get one.
  • The groups date is Sean with Sarah, Selma, Daniella, Lindsay, Desiree, Ashlee and Tierra. This is the date covered in the preview at the end of last weeks show...you know the clip of Thunder Thighs running in her bikini like a crazed lunatic, then her being all unresponsive again, looking like she's had some sort of psychotic event. Well, the challenge was a polar bear dip. For those of you who don't know what this is....it's a brief dip in cold water. Some do it just for the thrill, but most do it for charity. It's usually done on New Year's Day or in March (which I think happens in the western provinces once the ice breaks up but I will check on that). I have a couple of problems with what ABC does - people very rarely suffer from hypothermia because precautions are strictly enforced by the clubs who do this! And that's why I would bet money that Tierra's little episode is another big act to get Sean's attention and sympathy. And just like before, she will fore-go a hospital visit so as not to miss a single minute of Sean-time or time harassing the other girls...and us!!! Apart from the Tierra incident, unfortunately Sean tells Sarah at the after party that he is not feeling a connection and she leaves.
  • At the rose ceremony, Selma and Daniella are sent packing, and we are down to 6 girls.
